Yesterday evening, around 6:30 PM, I had a confusing and unpleasant experience after completing my shopping at IMM. While at the taxi stand, a Chinese man (an uncle), later identified as a cleaner wearing an OCTO JET uniform, approached me and started instructing me on where to place my trolley. His tone and approach were unnecessary and intrusive, especially as I was in the process of booking a taxi. He explained the need to return trolleys to prevent them from being left scattered. However, his insistence made little sense to me—if shoppers don't return their trolleys, they wouldn't get their $1 coin back, so the system already encourages order without additional intervention. When I asked if he was part of the security team, he avoided answering, which only added to my confusion and frustration. The situation became even more aggravating as I found myself unnecessarily explaining this simple logic to him. It later became clear that he wasn't part of the security team but a cleaner tasked with gathering trolleys, and he was trying to do an easy job of getting them sent back to Giant in one go, regardless of our situation. Despite his role, his behavior in dictating our actions, regardless of context, felt inappropriate and unprofessional. Such interactions don't belong in public service roles. While I understand the importance of maintaining order, there’s a proper and respectful way to engage with shoppers. Perhaps basic training and education are needed. Encounters like this leave a negative impression on what should have been a routine shopping experience at IMM.

DO NOT trust this company!! They are not professional at all, and they're responsible for their company's cleaners' bad performance. Some days ago, my husband called their company to provide some feedback on their cleaner's bad performance at a supermarket. A lady answered the call who I believed was the manager, and after hearing my husband's feedback, she went all out to defend her employee. She was not willing to address my husband's feedback, but instead, she shouted at my husband and scolded him over the phone like a crazy woman.
