Very Disappointing Experience – Will Not Return (0/10)
This was my second time visiting an OWNDAYS outlet, and unfortunately, both experiences were extremely disappointing.
During my first visit at the Jcube outlet, I was prescribed bifocal lenses. I informed the staff that I should be wearing progressive lenses instead, but my concerns were dismissed. The staff insisted on bifocals despite my explanation, showing a lack of understanding and flexibility.
The second visit was prompted by a noticeable increase in my degree, which I suspect may have been caused by the unsuitable bifocal lenses. When I told the staff I was currently using bifocal lenses, they insisted I was wearing standard lenses and disregarded what I said. After the eye test, I was told to wait for the new glasses. However, once I received them, I couldn’t see nearby objects clearly. I raised the issue immediately, only to be met with condescension and blame—as if I hadn’t already explained my lens history.
Eventually, the staff recommended progressive lenses, but asked me to pay an additional $300. When I hesitated due to the high cost, I was told I could take a loan or pay in instalments. After reluctantly agreeing, I later discovered on OWNDAYS’ official website that they were offering free progressive lenses. When I brought this up, the staff dismissed the promotion, claiming the free lenses were “terrible” and I had to pay more for a “premium” version.
This entire experience felt dismissive, misleading, and profit-driven. I won’t be returning to OWNDAYS and cannot recommend it to others.

Visited here today with my girlfriend to get new glasses, and she was served by a blonde staff member named Yan Ling. I get that service staff usually like to make small talk to be friendly, but clearly, she didn't know how to read the room. She asked how many months pregnant she was. Now, usually when people make such mistakes, they tend to realize it early before getting a guest pissed, but clearly, that wasn't her case. She asked four times before realizing it; the first three times she thought my girlfriend didn't understand the question. As for my girlfriend, it was the first time anyone had ever mistaken her for being pregnant. I don't have to say how insulting it was, needless to explain how it spoiled her day, and as a result, mine. Thanks, Yan Ling, you're great 👍🏻

My wife got her glasses here first, and I was impressed with their service. I needed temporary prescription glasses after my eye surgery but couldn't get a good prescription at that time. After consulting with my eye surgeon, he gave me a prescription, and I came back to them again. Not only did they accept the prescription, they even took time to help me choose a nice frame. Look for Kar Hong and Alex. Both are wonderful, professional, and helpful. I was even able to get my prescription glasses 30 minutes later. Ramya was very patient and helpful with my daughter as she tried to find a pair of sunglasses.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs prescription glasses. They even have a good collection of sunglasses.
