Bad service, not even worth a star!
We were there a few months ago, and this male staff was only interested in going home early and scrutinized us from top to bottom when we were there about 15 minutes before closing. He re-arranged every frame right after we touched and didn't even put on a smile. Stay away, people! There are many better ones out there with better service and pricing. LOL

I patronized Optical 88 with my kids at IMM on May 27, 2019. I asked whether I could use a baby bonus card for the purchase. She told me to choose cheaper specs and not to choose expensive specs. At the same time, I was trying the specs too... She looked down on me as if I couldn't afford to pay for my own specs, and she thought I was going to use the baby bonus card. Such a turn-off! I was asking because my two girls were going to get specs, for goodness sake!

I personally visited to request a top-up of 6 pairs of monthly disposable contact lenses but was told they do not carry similar brands. I requested their recommendations but was advised they would need to arrange for a qualified colleague to carry out the assessment. They suggested carrying out an eye test for a pair of spectacles, and I agreed to visit them for collection and a contact lens appointment.
After thorough eye testing and observation, the kind sales assistant was worried and gave advice for an eye specialist check-up due to very mild eye redness and significant inconsistency in the eye reading test results. They did not charge a single cent, but I believe they had to carry out thorough cleaning and disinfecting after we left.
We will definitely visit them again next month. By the way, a polyclinic charges $4 for a reading test on top of the usual consultation fee.
We praise the retail staff for their excellent service and serious concern for the well-being of their customers. Thank you.

I went to Optical 88 to give it one last try, after failing to find a replacement frame at many other shops. There was no such brand of my broken frame in the shop, but staff member Alyssa did not refuse immediately like others, and started to look around. She was patient and professional, and eventually found a very close one and replaced it for me. I am happy with the new frame, and most importantly, with Alyssa's excellent service.
